Alvidar is a thyroid supplement that claims to also help with weight loss. That would make sense because one of the symptoms of hypothyroidism is actually weight gain. If the amount of thyroid you stimulate is increased then your body can regulate your weight better. We decided to look into this product a little more because having a drug that affects your thyroid this much could be dangerous if you don’t really have hypothyroidism. So let’s see how it affects your body.
Price: $29.99
Ingredients and Mechanism of Action:
Alvidar ingredients include Laminariae Stipites, Bladderwack, Gentianae, Capsicum Frutescens, Echinacea, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng, and Valeriana Officinalis. The majority of the ingredients are natural roots. A few of these ingredients are good ingredients for helping to regulate different body systems. None of them, however, have been shown to increase weight loss.
Overall Impression of Alvidar
This product has quite a few unsubstantiated claims that we did not like. It says that it can help those who have the symptoms of hypothyroid without giving you side effects. However, taking a product like this if your thyroid levels are not low could actually lead to hyperthyroidism. They also have several claims about weight loss, but we could not find anything to document or support their claims. By looking at the ingredient’s we’re not sure why they even call themselves a weight loss product. Whether your trying to lose weight or combat hypothyroidism we really don’t recommend this product. If you’re having weight gain as a symptom of another product we really suggest that you talk to your doctor before a product you take accidentally makes it worse!
