Accomplia

Accomplia

Accomplia was supposed to be part of a new class of weight loss supplements. It was first introduced in Europe, and then they wanted it to move to the United States. It used addiction fighting ingredients which would apparently suppress the need to binge, eat more than you actually need, and suppress appetite in general which all sounded good at first. Unfortunately, they later found that it was causing serious psychological problems. At that point, it had never been actually approved by the FDA, and there were even allegations of them actively working to hide negative study results that would have told groups that it was dangerous. Either way, European countries banned the product, and Sanofi-Aventis eventually pulled it off the market all together. They continue to petition the FDA to approve it in some ways. However, they are not actually producing it at this time as they obviously have nowhere to sell it. So what would be the point of it sitting on the shelves as they waste more money on it.
